ELIET C550ZR Collector DC Petrol Scarifier - Honda GX200

Scarifying is a real chore. A landscaper naturally wants to remove as much moss and felt from the lawn as possible, but ironically, this creates more cleanup, which is ultimately the less pleasant aspect of the job.
There's now a solution. ELIET, the Belgian manufacturer of scarifiers with over 35 years of experience, is launching its C550ZR Collector this spring.

The usual working depth is 2 mm. This minimizes blade braking, allowing the blades to remove moss and thatch from the turf at full speed. The blades don't cut through the roots, significantly reducing the lawn's recovery time after scarifying. Correctly setting the depth requires very fine depth control. For this purpose, the C550 Collector features infinitely variable adjustment on each front wheel. This allows for a consistent depth across the entire blade shaft.

When scarifying a soggy lawn early in the spring, the loosened moss easily sticks to the wheels, causing the machines to bounce across the lawn, which is clearly visible in the raked result. To prevent this, ELIET installs wheel scrapers on the wheels of its professional scarifiers. This immediately sweeps any adhering dirt off the wheels.

This traction also allowed ELIET to rotate the blades counterclockwise to the direction of travel, without compromising operating comfort. This allows the blades to grip the felt layer even more effectively and throw it over the top. This increases scarifying efficiency by up to 30%.

The exceptionally fine blades feature Permanently Pointed Blades™ technology, ensuring minimal damage to the lawn.

The C550ZR is self-propelled. It's powered by a Honda GX200 engine with 6.5 hp. An added benefit is that the machine rides on a rubber roller. This roller smooths out minor bumps in the lawn and leaves an aesthetically pleasing striped pattern.

The "C" in the machine's name stands for "Collector," which refers to "collection." This is where the innovation of the C550 lies. The blades project the removed material into a discharge channel. An Archimedes' screw rotates inside this channel, discharging it to the side of the machine. The moss is thus collected on a narrow berm. On the next work lane, this berm can be picked up again by the machine and deposited, along with the raked material from this second work lane, into a single berm on the first work lane. This allows the C550ZR to collect moss and felt from a working width of 1 meter onto a single berm. It goes without saying that this saves the landscaper a significant amount of time during cleanup.
