The electric motor, intelligent battery energy management, and laser-cut, diamond-ground, hardened blades deliver exceptional cutting performance. The dual-grip handle also ensures simple and comfortable operation. To start the machine, simply press the switches on the loop handle and the rear handle simultaneously. The rear handle also features rubberized surfaces for a secure grip, regardless of the working position. The STIHL HSA 40 also features a screw-on tip protector that protects the blades from damage, for example, when pruning along the ground or walls. The STIHL HSA 40 has a convenient hanging loop on the rear handle for safe and compact storage.
