If you don't already have a Stihl AK system battery and charger, the STIHL FSA 70 R set is the ideal choice. In addition to the powerful battery-powered brushcutter, the set includes a Stihl AK 20 lithium-ion battery. and the standard charger Stihl AL 101. So you can get started right away.
The STIHL FSA 70 R battery-powered edger offers the perfect combination of high mowing performance and low weight. It's ideal for residential gardening, such as trimming medium-high grass, maintaining lawn edges, and various tidying tasks. The Rapid Click system offers added convenience: with a simple push of a button, you can remove the cutting head quickly and easily. Thanks to the Advanced EasySpool function, you can also easily wind new mowing line onto the cutting head.
The brushless EC motor features a two-level variable speed control that allows you to adjust the speed directly from the control lever. If you want to work at a low speed, for example, for lighter tasks like maintaining edges, it's best to choose ECO mode (level 1). This reduces energy consumption and extends battery life. However, if you're facing a more challenging task, such as trimming dense grass, simply select level 2 on the slide switch. This allows you to utilize the full power of your machine. The speed automatically adjusts to the mounted cutting attachment and is infinitely variable. Moreover, thanks to intelligent electronics, the FSA 70 R delivers consistently high power, regardless of the battery charge level.
The compact design and excellent balance of the STIHL FSA 70 R, as well as the loop handle with soft components, provide optimal flexibility and freedom of movement while mowing – particularly useful when working between trees and shrubs or in other tight spaces. Moreover, the tool-free handle adjustment allows you to easily adjust the machine to the user's height, ensuring an ergonomic working position at all times.
The FSA 70 R battery-powered edger is so quiet that you can use it without hearing protection, even in noise-sensitive environments.
It comes standard with the STIHL AutoCut C 12-2 line mowing head, which can be replaced without tools. It is compatible with the optional STIHL PolyCut 12-2 mowing head with plastic blades, which can also be replaced without tools. The STIHL FSA 70 R also features a hanging loop for wall mounting.
